Lorenzago


Settled at 800 metres of altitude on a green plateau, Lorenzago maybe is on of the best village of Cadore, chosen as summer holiday residence by Pope Giovanni Paolo II and Benedetto XVI.
Lorenzago is also famous for its sunny position, the relaxing atmosphere and the air quality. Here you can visit the XVII century Church (with a paint of Cesare Vecellio) and the church of Madonna della Difesa.
Besides this you can visit the Giovanni Paolo II museum. Lorenzago offers to its tourists amazing walkings descending towards the lake Centro Cadore or through the forest in "The Dreams Park" or going to the Mauria Pass at 1300 m of altitude.
From here you can make many famous walking, some of these chosen by the Pope giovanni Paolo II.
